What is Breathwork?

Breath ‘work’ is the practice of working on how you breathe. It’s like going to the gym for your lungs. It involves deep, diaphramatic breathing synchronized to the rhythm of music.

During a breathwork session, you consciously change your breathing pattern for a specified length of time. There will also be periods of retention (holding on full or empty lungs).

Breathwork can consist of a variety of breathing techniques and exercises. All of which can be customized according to your body’s specific needs.

As your facilitator, I’ll be modelling the breathing techniques throughout the session and encouraging you to get the most out of your experience.

In this class we have taken some of the most powerful components of different modalities to create an experience that will bring you to a deeper connection with yourself, help to heal inner trauma, release emotions, expand awareness, increase intuition, enhance visualization to create the life of your dreams and leave feeling uplifted and at peace.

We combine intention setting, movement, breathwork, guided meditation, visualization, live and recorded music and group connection to create an experience like no other. You have to try it to understand how powerful it really is. No experience required. Just come with an open mind.

Giovanni Bartolomeo, founder of Elemental Rhythm

Giovanni Bartolomeo is my teacher and the founder of Elemental Rhythm Breakthrough Experience. He has been on a journey of self improvement and self discovery for the past 10+ years. In that time he became the first Wim Hof instructor in Canada and has extensively studied many forms of breathwork and other modalities from around the world. Over the past several years through both self study and practice he has developed 2 unique breathwork practices the first is called the “Elemental Rhythm Breakthrough Experience”, the Second is called “Elemental Flow”.

There’s a respiratory pattern for each emotion you feel, and we can take two conclusions from this. First, the way you breathe affects your emotions, and second, your emotions affect the way you breathe.
