As a breathwork facilitator, coach, and educator, I acknowledge the importance of upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct. To ensure the well-being and satisfaction of my clients, I commit to the following principles:
Professionalism and Competence 1.1. I will maintain the highest level of professionalism and competency in all aspects of my breathwork facilitation, coaching, and educational practices. 1.2. I will continuously update and expand my knowledge and skills through ongoing education, training, and supervision to provide quality services.
Client Welfare and Safety 2.1. I prioritize the physical, emotional, and psychological safety and well-being of my clients above all else. 2.2. I will assess the suitability of breathwork practices for each client and provide appropriate informed consent, ensuring they understand potential risks and benefits. 2.3. I will create a safe and supportive environment that respects and honors the autonomy, dignity, and diversity of all my clients. 2.4. I will maintain appropriate professional boundaries and avoid engaging in any form of exploitation, abuse, or harm.
Confidentiality and Privacy 3.1. I will respect and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information, discussions, and records, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. 3.2. I will obtain written consent from clients before disclosing any information to third parties unless mandated by legal requirements or concerns for client safety.
Informed Consent and Disclosure 4.1. I will provide clients with clear and accurate information about the nature, purpose, risks, and potential outcomes of breathwork sessions, coaching, or educational programs. 4.2. I will obtain informed consent from clients before commencing any breathwork practices, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of the techniques involved, potential effects, and any contraindications.
Scope of Practice 5.1. I understand and adhere to my professional scope of practice, working within the limits of my education, training, and expertise. 5.2. I will recognize when issues or challenges fall outside my competence and refer clients to appropriate professionals or resources.
Professional Integrity 6.1. I will maintain the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and ethical conduct in all my professional interactions. 6.2. I will avoid any conflicts of interest that may compromise my objectivity, judgment, or the welfare of my clients. 6.3. I will clearly communicate my qualifications, credentials, and limitations to clients and the public, ensuring transparency and avoiding misrepresentation.
Continuing Education and Supervision 7.1. I will engage in ongoing professional development activities, including workshops, conferences, and supervision, to enhance my knowledge, skills, and effectiveness. 7.2. I will seek regular supervision or consultation with experienced professionals to ensure appropriate support, guidance, and personal growth as a breathwork facilitator, coach, and educator.
Non-Discrimination and Cultural Sensitivity 8.1. I embrace and honor the diversity of individuals, cultures, and beliefs, and provide services that are inclusive, non-discriminatory, and culturally sensitive. 8.2. I will respect and value the unique experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds of my clients, refraining from any form of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability.
Ethical Guidelines for Marketing and Advertising 9.1. I will advertise and market my services in a truthful, accurate, and ethical manner, avoiding any false or misleading claims. 9.2. I will clearly disclose pertinent information such as qualifications, credentials, limitations, and fees, providing transparency to potential clients. 9.3. I will not make exaggerated promises or guarantee specific outcomes that cannot be reasonably assured through breathwork practices. 9.4. I will respect the privacy and consent of clients when using their image, testimonials or case studies for promotional purposes.
